Fiets und Fertig

Vor etwa eineinhalb Jahren haben wir uns dazu entschieden, einen Teil der Welt während zehn Monaten mit dem Fahrrad zu erkunden. 

Wir beginnen unsere Reise in Singapur und radeln von dort aus nach Hause. Los geht’s im Januar 2020. Wir können es kaum erwarten!!!

Wir möchten an dieser Stelle bereits jetzt ein grosses Dankeschön an all jene richten, die uns bei der Entstehung unserer Reise unterstützt und motiviert haben. Speziell erwähnen möchten wir hier Hannah und Luca, die uns mit den spannenden Berichten von ihrer Radweltreise nochmals einen zusätzlichen Motivationsschub verliehen haben.

In diesem Blog sehen wird die Chance gleich eine Art Tagebuch von unserem persönlichen Abenteuer zu führen. Ausserdem ist es für unsere Familien und Freunde auf diesem Weg möglich ab und an mal was von unserer Reise mitzubekommen.

​

Auch wenn wir schon vielerorts unterwegs waren, ist diese Dauer und Art des Reisens für uns Neuland. Wir biken zwar gerne und sind es somit gewohnt ein paar Stunden im Sattel zu sitzen, jedoch nicht mit 20 Kilogramm Zusatzgewicht und erst recht nicht über mehrere Tage und Wochen. Diese "Erfahrungslücke" wird wohl bald geschlossen werden. :-)

Wir freuen uns RIESIG auf unser Abenteuer und darauf, unsere Erlebnisse und Erfahrungen hier mit euch zu teilen.

FIETS UND FERTIG - In English

For our friends and relatives in Belgium and the US we decided to try and write parts of our blog in English. For the German written parts there's still "Mr. Google Translate" who can give you a hand there.

About one and a half years ago we decided to explore part of the world by bike for ten months. 

We'll start our journey in Singapore in January 2020 and cycle home from there. We can't wait for the adventure to begin!

 

We would like to take this opportunity for a huge THANK YOU to all those who have supported and motivated us in the creation of our journey. We would especially like to mention Hannah and Luca, who gave us an additional boost of motivation with the exciting reports from their bike world trip. 

​

In this blog we see the chance to keep sort of a diary of our personal adventure. Moreover it's also possible for our families and friends to get a glimpse of our trip from time to time.

 

Even though we have been on the road in many places, this type of travel is new territory for us.  We like mountainbiking and are used to sitting in the saddle for a few hours, but not for several days or weeks and certainly not with an additional weight of 20 kilograms. This "experience gap" will probably be filled soon. :-)
